 Per la 41^ edizione è in programma dal 20 giugno al 22 luglio 2019 sono coinvolti oltre 20 comuni friulani tra cui Udine, Spilimbergo, Gorizia, Duino, fino a toccare la vicina slovenia, Capodistria.Di palco in palco, di sala in sala, di osteria in osteria, ci siamo trovati a fare i conti con i capelli che imbiancano e a renderci conto che abbiamo visto modificarsi anche l’atteggiamento del pubblico ai concerti, con ricambi generazionali. Folkest non è un festival capace di star fermo: è curioso del mondo e delle esperienze artistiche di ogni dove, che cerca di proporre con convinzione e costanza, è un laboratorio aperto tutto l’anno che spesso si apre a collaborazioni di ampio respiro.  The 30th Forde Folk Music Festival will be held in hotels, museums arts centres and outdoor stages in and around Førde, Norway from July 3rd to 7th. The main festival arena is the culture centre “Førdehuset” with four concert halls holding from 170 to 2500 seats. The theme of this year’s event is “2019: 30 years without borders!”This festival is one of the largest for traditional and world music in Scandinavia, presenting approximately 90 acts, 30 venues and 300 artists from all over the world with 25, 000 to 30,000 visitors each year. The festival programme will include a variety of concerts, workshops, exhibitions, children’s events and dance evenings. Accordion performers and groups include “Ein haile halve maone” (Norway - picture at top) who play traditional dance music mostly from their own region, but also some tunes from other parts of Norway; “Floating Sofa Quartet” (Denmark, Sweden and Finland) which includes Leija Lautamaja on Melodeon & Harmonium. Their repertoire is an exciting mixture of own compositions and traditional pieces from their respective countries. Other performers are “Kroke” (Poland) which includes accordionist Jerzy Bawol, who play their own improvisations of klezmer and ethnic music; Samurai Accordion (Italy, Finland and Ireland – picture below), a group of 4 accordionists who play a mix of trad, folk, liscio, Irish music, jazz and film scores; and the Sarah Savoy Trio (USA - picture left) who play a mix of Cajun, country and rock’n’roll.  Glasbena šola Vili Marinšek, Turistično društvo Postojna in Postojnska jama d. d vabijo na TEKMOVANJE HARMONIKARJEV ZA POKAL POSTOJNSKE JAME, ki bo potekalo v sklopu “Furmanskega praznika” pri Postojnski jami v nedeljo, 7.7.2019, z začetkom ob 10. uri na osrednjem prizorišču. Tekmovalci se predstavijo z eno skladbo. Igrajo lahko z diatonično, klavirsko ali kromatično harmoniko. Vsi prijavljeni tekmovalci bodo razdeljeni v več starostnih kategorij in sicer: - do 11 let, - od 12 do 18 let, - nad 18 let. Prijave na tekmovanje so možne na naslovu: vili.marinsek@gmail.com (obvezna vsebina prijave: ime, priimek, naslov, datum in letnica rojstva ter naslov skladbe) ali eno uro pred pričetkom tekmovanja na prireditvenem prostoru. V primeru večjega števila prijavljenih tekmovalcev se bo upoštevalo samo predhodne prijave po e-mailu. Prijavnine ni! Strokovna žirija bo ocenjevala nastop, zahtevnost, dinamiko in tehnično izvedbo skladbe. Po končanem tekmovanju bo razglasila zmagovalce in podelila naslednje nagrade: - pokal za najboljšega v vsaki izmed treh kategorij, - pokal za najboljšega ljudskega godca oz. ljudsko izvedbo (ne bo ocenjevana tehnična izvedba), - najprestižnejšo nagrado “pokal Postojnske jame” za absolutnega zmagovalca, - praktične nagrade za najmlajšega in najstarejšega tekmovalca. Wie in den vergangenen Jahren soll dieser Volksmusikwettbewerb einerseits den TeilnehmerInnen Gelegenheit geben mit vielen anderen guten HarmonikaspielerInnen zusammenzukommen. Des Weiteren aber auch durch Mitglieder der Jury, bestehend aus herausragenden Harmonikaspielern bzw. Volksmusikanten, die unsere Volksmusik in den letzten Jahrzehnten durch ihr Beispiel wesentlich mitgeprägthaben - Bewertung, Beratung und Anregung zu erhalten. Die Diatonische, bzw. Steirische Harmonika nimmt heute in der alpenländischen Volksmusik einen vorrangigen Platz als Soloinstrument, wie auch als wichtiges Instrument in unterschiedlichsten Besetzungsformen ein. Dies hängt einerseits mit der besonderen Klangfarbe und Vielseitigkeit des Instrumentes zusammen. Im Wesentlichen aber verdanken wir den Erfolg einigen markanten Musikerpersönlichkeiten, die bereits in den 1970er-Jahren durch ihr Musizieren die Jugend für die Diatonische Harmonika begeistern konnten. Das legte die Basis für eine systematisch- didaktische Ausbildungsstruktur. Das hervorragende Können der HarmonikalehrerInnen in den Musikschulen, die Ausbildung der HarmonikalehrerInnen an Universitäten und Konservatorien und somit auch das hohe Niveau zahlreicher junger Musikantinnen und Musikanten bezeugen dies auf eindrucksvolle Weise. Man hofft wieder auf zahlreiche Teilnahme und ist überzeugt, dass auch der 14. | Musik aus allen Kontinenten beim Rudolstadt-Festival Wo gibt es das sonst noch? Ein Festival, das Weltmusik, Dancefloor-Feeling und lauschige Hofkonzerte vereint, zwischen Folk-Tradition und verwegenen Experimenten segelt? Willkommen in Rudolstadt! Hier in der thüringischen Provinz ist für vier Tage im Juli die Welt zu Hause. Dann öffnet das Festival den Blick für den musikalischen Reichtum der unterschiedlichsten Kulturen, und Künstler*innen aus rund 40 Ländern bringen auf fast 30 Bühnen die ganze Stadt zum Klingen. Die Geschichte des Festivals reicht bis 1955 zurück. Damals fand in Rudolstadt das „1. Fest des deutschen Volkstanzes“ statt. Es wurde zu einem DDR-Tanz- und Folklorefest, zu dem zahlreiche Gruppen aus Osteuropa anreisten. Nach der Wende wagte die Stadt dann mit einem ganz anderen, zeitgemäßen Konzept den Neustart. Dass sich diese Idee zu einem Weltmusik-Festival von internationalem Renommee entwickeln würde, konnte das Team damals nicht ahnen. Denn 1991 kamen -so jedenfalls wird es gern kolportiert- mehr Musikschaffende als -hörende. Heute pilgern täglich 25.000 Konzertfans zu Deutschlands größtem Festival für Roots, Folk und Weltmusik. Nicht zuletzt deshalb, weil das Festival-Team neben bekannte Namen und Szenestars bewusst auch widerspenstige oder völlig ungewohnte Töne stellt. | Gooikoorts is an international music festival at the crossroads of traditional and contemporary folk music. For twelf years, the organizers have been offering a high-quality poster in a relaxed and family atmosphere, all set in the inviting setting of the green hills of Pajottenland. The concept has grown over the years and currently includes eleven concerts, including four purely acoustic, a concert-mass, three balls, a large luthier market, initiations and a musical game island for the youngest. | Takes place from 11th – 19th August 2019 The first Fleadhanna then gave traditional musicians a platform where they could play to a really appreciative audience and where traditional style was the criterion. The sun always seemed to shine at those early Fleadhanna too, as men and women took down fiddles and flutes that had lain idle for years and hit the road for Cavan and Loughrea with lightness in their step and a tune in their hearts. In recent years the numbers attending Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann have grown significantly with in excess of 250,000 attending the Fleadhanna in Cavan and in excess of 400,000 attending in Derry in 2013. Today Comhaltas is established on four continents with in excess of 400 branches worldwide. Quetsch 'n' Vibes Seit Frühjahr 2017 haben sie regelmäßig gemeinsame Auftritte mit dem Liedermacher Flow Bradley und das Konzertprogramm „Kernöl on the Road“ mit dem Duo Quetsch ’n‘ Vibes. Anfang des Jahres 2018 gab es ein gemeinsames Konzert mit Quetsch ’n‘ Vibes und dem symphonischen Orchester Dreiharmoniker unter der Leitung von Tsai-Ju Lee mit dem Titel „Symphonic Kernöl“. Im Oktober 2018 wurde Quetschklampfa die Ehre zuteil, beim Nationalfeiertagsempfang in Brüssel als „steirische Kulturrepräsentanten“ zu spielen. Im März 2019 wurde das Quartett mit dem steirischen Harmonika-AWARD 2019 in der Kategorie „Neue Volxmusik“ ausgezeichnet, der heuer das erste Mal in dieser Kategorie vergeben wurde.
