This CIA international accordion event seeks to promote the accordion around the world and also marks the birthday of the accordion - May 6th 1829, the date the accordion was first patented, in Vienna, Austria, by Cyrillius Demien.  It is not secondary to the immaterial purpose of promoting and spreading a message of openness to knowledge and dialogue between different traditions and cultures. And peace. Italy will meet the cultures of each country affected by the project, blending the cultures of each country with sensitivity, music, nutrition, giving a message of peace and solidarity, promoting integration among peoples. Italian art and melody, with those of other countries in the world, will meet to meet, confront and join through "contaminations" arising from the deepening of their origins and their historical path. Queste le finalità che caratterizzeranno il progetto fino alla sua conclusione nel 2020, a Dubai, quando si terrà la prossima edizione di EXPO. Vedrà associata peraltro un’ulteriore finalità solidale, concreta, in forza della quale le entrate prodotte dagli eventi culturali saranno destinate a progetti umanitari nei Paesi in cui gli eventi medesimi si svolgeranno. Il progetto si svilupperà nei cinque continenti, particolarmente in grandi città dei Paesi a forte emigrazione italiana. Prenderà il via a gennaio 2017 con la selezione degli artisti che parteciperanno alla Finalissima, nel 2020 a Dubai. Sylvia Pagni, anima e motore del progetto, musicista e direttrice della Nuova Orchestra Abruzzese, così ci dichiara. “Il nostro obiettivo è scoprire talenti, sia italiani che stranieri in tutto il mondo, per selezionare le migliori melodie locali ispirate alla grande tradizione melodica italiana, che verranno reinterpretate in chiave moderna dai giovani talenti emergenti, insieme ad artisti affermati. L’abbraccio tra popoli attraverso la Musica si esprimerà anche concretamente con un programma di solidarietà alimentare. L’Italia incontrerà le culture di ogni Paese toccato dal progetto, fondendo con la cultura di ciascun Paese sensibilità, musica, alimentazione, recando un messaggio di pace e di solidarietà, favorendo l’integrazione tra i popoli. L’arte e la melodia italiana, con quelle degli altri Paesi del mondo, s’incontreranno per conoscersi, confrontarsi ed unirsi attraverso ‘contaminazioni’ scaturite dall’approfondimento delle rispettive origini e dal loro percorso storico.” “Forza Canzone d’Italia nel Mondo” si svilupperà in Feste italiane organizzate in più giornate. Potrà associare iniziative di promozione della nostra gastronomia, esposizione di prodotti dell’eccellenza italiana, di promozione del turismo in Italia, dell’arte, della creatività e della moda. Insomma, la Canzone italiana diventa il medium per veicolare il Made in Italy. Il progetto, per la sua complessa articolazione, si potrà avvalere della collaborazione delle nostre rappresentanze all’estero (ambasciate, consolati, istituti di cultura), dei Comites, ma soprattutto della fitta rete delle associazioni delle varie regioni attraverso le quali le comunità italiane nel mondo sono fortemente organizzate. Loris Cattunar, che del progetto è Segretario generale, aggiunge ulteriori delucidazioni: “Il progetto affida agli artisti e all’organizzazione un ruolo di ‘ambasciatori’ della cultura musicale italiana, ma anche dell’eccellenza dei prodotti italiani di imprese artigianali o industriali. A queste il progetto offre un supporto per proporsi nel mondo. Il nostro settore marketing ha strutturato un ‘format’ che si integra con il programma musicale e culturale dell’evento ed offre ad aziende partner una vetrina importante ed un’assistenza commerciale adeguata.” Il progetto, oltre agli artistiSylvia Pagni, Elisa Riccitelli,Loris Cattunar - e all’Orchestra composta da 27 musicisti professionisti, vede impegnato uno Staff organizzativo ed artistico di consolidato prestigio: Sergio Nanni, Alberto Zeppieri, Antonio Vandoni, Dario Salvatori, Maurizio Conigliaro e Loris Cattunar. Infine, questo l’ultimo step nella preparazione della macchina organizzativa.  Andreas Gabalier - Hulapalu video.DIE GEWINNER DER GENRE KATEGORIEN SIND... Erstmals präsentieren die Amadeus Awards die Gewinner der acht Genre-Kategorien schon vor der Verleihung, die heuer am 4. Mai im Wiener Volkstheater stattfindet. Voodoo Jürgens, Mynth, Serenity, Nazar, Ernst Molden, Pizzera & Jaus, DJ Ötzi & Nik P. und Andreas Gabalier haben die Genre-Kategorien für sich entschieden. Gewinner in der Kategorie Volksmusik: Andreas Gabalier Wer, wenn nicht Andreas Gabalier sollte diese Kategorie für sich entscheiden? Er selbst nennt sich ja Volks Rock’n’Roller, aber diese Kategorie gibt es leider (noch) nicht. Im Grunde ist es auch nicht so wichtig, da oder dort nominiert zu sein. Sei’s drum und dem Andi wird es auch egal sein. Er hat keinen Grund, nicht zufrieden zu sein, denn 2016 war jenes Jahr, in dem der Grazer mit MTV Unplugged und dem Gig im Münchner Olympia-Stadion neue Dimensionen erreicht hat. Platinplatten ohne Ende, ausverkaufte Tour in Österreich und Deutschland, eine Romy für den „TV-Moment des Jahres" – Andreas Gabaliers Höhenflug nimmt kein Ende. | GIOVANE ORCHESTRA DEL SALENTO Nuove audizioni per giovani musicisti Sabato 13 Maggio alle ore 15.00 le sale del Centro Polifunzionale di San Cesario di Lecce ospiteranno le nuove audizioni per entrare a far parte della Giovane Orchestra del Salento. Il progetto, ideato e coordinato da Claudio Prima, è riservato a giovani musicisti. Gli strumenti accolti per l’audizione sono: • strumenti ad arco; • strumenti a fiato; • percussioni; • chitarre (classiche, acustiche, elettriche); • basso; • voci. La Giovane Orchestra del Salento Il progetto nasce nel 2011 dalla collaborazione tra i Comuni di Lizzanello, San Cesario e Lequile e grazie al bando “Giovani Energie in Comune” del Ministero della Gioventù Italiana e dell’ANCI. In meno di un anno si svolgono circa 500 ore di formazione gratuita in 16 classi stabili e cinque stage di perfezionamento. Il progetto ha condotto attraverso un percorso di formazione e selezione alla costituzione di un’orchestra stabile, luogo ideale di espressione e di sintesi creativa dei generi diffusi sul territorio salentino. La musica della Giovane Orchestra è energica e originale, mescola in maniera ardita generi musicali diversi (reggae, rock, classica, popolare) e rappresenta il talento generato in questi anni dal fermento musicale che il Salento ha vissuto. Più di 120 ragazzi coinvolti negli ultimi anni, la realizzazione di un documentario, numerosi concerti in Salento, in festival nazionali (Milano, Civitanova Marche), la partecipazione al TedxLecce e la produzione di un cd dimostrano il valore della musica scritta e pensata insieme ai ragazzi. Il prossimo concerto sarà a Giugno a Lecce in occasione della presentazione dei risultati del progetto l'Arca dei Giovani parte dal Mediterraneo. Il concerto della Giovane Orchestra del Salento muove, coinvolge, emoziona ed è un'iniezione di energia pura, divertente e fresca come la forza dei giovani che ne sono protagonisti.  The Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center will host the 36th Annual Tejano Conjunto Festival May 24-28, 2017, at the historic Guadalupe Theater and Rosedale Park in San Antonio, Texas. The festival expects to draw over 5,000 Conjunto music lovers from across Texas, the U.S., Mexico, as well as international visitors. Executive Director Cristina Ballí will direct and curate the festival and Juan Tejeda, founder of the Tejano Conjunto Festival, will serve as advisor.The festival will feature about 30 of the very best and most popular bands in Conjunto music complemented by plenty of dancing, food and beverage booths in a family-friendly environment. | Mundharmonika-Konzert mit Howard Levy (harp), Susan Sauter (harp) und Yvonne Yang (piano) Dienstag 16.05.2017 20.00 Uhr, Kesselhaus Trossingen Meister auf der Mundharmonika in Trossingen zu hören Grammygewinner Howard Levy aus Chicago spielt mit Susan Sauter und Yvonne Yang in Trossingen. East-West-Project, so lautet der Titel des Konzertprojekts der Extraklasse von Howard Levy, dem Meister der diatonischen Mundharmonika, Chromonikasolistin Susan Sauter und ihrer Pianistin Yvonne Yang. Drei Musiker von drei Kontinenten, das beschreibt der Titel East-West am besten. Susan Sauter als Trossingerin, Yvonne Yang geboren und aufgewachsen in Taiwan, mittlerweile aber sesshaft in der Partnerstadt Trossingens, Beaverton in den USA und dem zweifachen Grammy Award Gewinner, Howard Levy aus Chicago, USA. Die drei Musiker kennen sich schon einige Jahre, nachdem sie sich bei den renommierten Mundharmonikafestivals weltweit in der Szene einen Namen erlangt haben und beinahe jährlich im Rahmen eines solchen Festivals, bei dem beide als Künstler und Wettbewerbsjuroren eingeladen sind, getroffen. 2016 beim Asia-Pacific-Harmonica-Festival in Taipeh entstand die Idee eines gemeinsamen Konzerts, welches nun am 16. Februar 1935 geboren und ist heute in Bayreuth wohnhaft. Die Konzertina zu spielen, lernte er bereits mit acht Jahren, angeregt durch seinen Vater, der auch schon das Instrument nach Ziffernschrift beherrschte. Erst viel später, als Theo Knopf bereits 47 Jahre alt war, nahm er in Pegnitz bei Fritz Pastyrik Unterricht, um nach dessen Lehrkonzept nun auch nach regulärer Notenschrift spielen zu lernen. Knopf spielt heute teilweise nach Ziffernnotation, teilweise nach Noten oder einfach nach Gehör und auswendig. In seinem Repertoire führt er über 80 verschiedene Tänze, ältere Schlager und Spielstücke von Andreas Hader, wie etwa der Ostergalopp "Ds Madla von dr Gmaa". Theo Knopf komponiert auch eigene Stücke, wie etwa die bekannt gewordene Degelmann-Polka oder diverse Ländler und Walzer. Er bevorzugt unter seinen Instrumenten die vierchörige Haustein-Konzertina (in Es) sowie eine vierchörige Birnstock-Konzertina (in C) mit Tonabnehmer, da er ab und zu auch im Freien aufspielt. Er musiziert zur eigenen Unterhaltung oder zur Unterhaltung im Freundeskreis, im Wirtshaus, bei Tanzveranstaltungen und bei privaten Festen.  31.05.201 - 19.00 Uhr Konzertsaal Hohner-KonservatoriumVon Tango bis Originalliteratur - Chromatische Mundharmonika mit Monja Heuler Im Rahmen ihrer öffentlichen Abschlussprüfung im Fach chromatische Mundharmonika zeigt Monja Heuler, was auf diesem Instrument alles möglich ist. Das Benefizkonzert zu Gunsten des Fördervereins des Hohner-Konservatroiums Trossingen e.V. findet am Mittwoch, den 31.05.2017 um 19:00 Uhr im Konzertsaal des Hohner-Konservatoriums (Hohnerstraße 4/1 Trossingen) statt. Eröffnet wird das zweiteilige Programm von der Solistin Monja Heuler und ihrer Klavierbegleiterin Meng Qiu. Im zweiten Teil beweist die Mundharmonikaspielerin, dass sich das Instrument auch gut in anderer Besetzung behaupten kann, so z.B. auch in der Jazzcombo des Hohner-Konservatoriums. Bereits mit 5 Jahren entdeckte Monja Heuler ihre Liebe zu dem vielseitigen Instrument. Seit September 2013 studiert sie am Hohner-Konservatorium Akkordeon bei Hans-Günther Kölz und bei Kathrin Gass „Chromatische Mundharmonika“ im ergänzenden Hauptfach. Ihre spielerischen Fähigkeiten auf der chromatischen Mundharmonika konnte sie bei zahlreichen Konzerten und nationalen sowie internationalen Wettbewerben unter Beweis stellen, unter anderem mit dem Orchester Hohnerklang oder mit dem Mundharmonika-Sextett „La Mixtura“, mit dem sie 2016 in Südkorea spielte. Einige Auftritte als Mundharmonikasolistin mit verschiedenen Sinfonieorchestern wie z.B. mit dem Bodensee Ärzteorchester, dem Studentenorchester Münster oder den Musikfreunden Neustadt bei Coburg, waren stets ein großer Erfolg. On this recording she works with various other musicians such as Finbarr Furey – vocals on ‘He'll Have to Go’, six Shetland fiddlers on ‘Frenchie’s Reel’, and kora player Seckou Keita on ‘Sea Shepherd’. Tracks: Rusheen Bay, Sacred Earth, The Machine, Bas Pelles, Pull Out the Stops, He'll Have to Go, Frenchie's Reel, The Merry Widow, Let’s Go, Sea Shepherd, The Bull Fiddle Sharon Shannon, from County Clare but now living in Galway, plays the diatonic 2 row button accordion, melodeon, fiddle, and tin whistle. Originally a competitive show jumper, she switched to playing music professionally in the mid-1980s, and has since enjoyed a very successful international career. She was briefly a member of The Waterboys, but plays mainly as a soloist with her own backing musicians. Sharon Shannon is especially popular with younger audiences, and is well-known as an innovator who incorporates other styles such as French-Canadian, Portuguese, Cajun, and Reggae into Irish traditional music. |

 IN CONCERTIn recent years, Harpist Lavinia Meijer and bandoneon Carel Kraayenhof met regularly backstage at concerts and festivals. On the stairs to Carré's artist founder, the high word came out: "Let's repeat and see if there is a concert in concert." The concerts that followed soon were received very well and were sold out well in advance. So it was decided to make a live album. "In Concert". The choice for a live registration has been fully convinced. Both musicians respond to the warm response of the audience. This can only be recorded in a concert registration. In one of the pieces is a miss, but it looks more beautiful than the written notes could sound. That "miss" just stands on and sounds like it should be. The repertoire includes milongas, tango's and other beautiful Argentinian, Spanish and Italian compositions, including Piazzolla, Bacalov and Morricone, and three compositions by Carel Kraayenhof himself, including an ode to his 3-ply starter 'Witneus'. Lavinia Meijer makes her debut as a composer on this album with the cousin of Hello Stranger, who was born last year. In total, the album contains 15 compositions, including a monumental performance of three parts from Piazzolla's Histoire du Tango. The warm and warm tone of harp and bandoneon already complement each other and reinforce each other in this beautiful, passionate repertoire.
