Ohne Musik wäre das Leben ein Irrtum, sagte einst Nietzsche. Zwei Kärntner Unternehmerinnen nehmen sich das zu Herzen und sorgen seit Jahrzehnten für den perfekten Ton in ihren Unternehmen: Edith Müller aus Bad St. Leonhard mit handgefertigten Harmonikas, die weltweit exportiert werden, und Elisabeth Sickl, die Künstler und Kulturinteressierte aus aller Welt aufs Schloss Albeck lockt. Doch die beiden verbindet noch mehr: Ex aequo teilen sie sich die Auszeichnung „Unternehmerin des Jahres 2015“. Die nominierten Unternehmerinnen 2015 waren: Christine Haid und Roswitha Zarfl-Mikusch, Almut Knaller, Gerhild Rücker, Michaela Widnig-Tiefenbacher, Ingeborg Daberer, Gerlinde Glawischnig, Elisabeth Sickl, Astrid Maria Legner, Edith Müller und Margit Leeb. Aus ihren Reihen wählte die Jury die „Unternehmerin des Jahres“. Unternehmerin des Jahres 2015: Edith Müller Edith Müller aus Bad St. Leonhard wurde für die Aufrechterhaltung traditionell handgefertigter Musikinstrumente, die stetige Weiterentwicklung und den Einsatz neuester Technologien im Harmonika-Bau sowie als wichtiger Arbeitgeber in der Region ausgezeichnet. Gemeinsam mit ihrem Mann Peter baute sie seit 1976 die Werkstätte für handgefertigte Harmonikas zu einem Vorzeigebetrieb mit über 40 Mitarbeitern und drei Lehrlingen aus. Pro Jahr werden rund 1000 Harmonikas hergestellt und nach Österreich, Deutschland, Südtirol, USA, Kanada oder Australien verkauft. Aber auch sie traf ein Schicksalsschlag hart: Ihr Mann verstarb völlig unerwartet. Mit Rückendeckung ihrer Mitarbeiter und ihrer Kinder, die in den Betrieb einstiegen, konnte das Unternehmen weitergeführt werden. „Wir arbeiten ständig an der Weiterentwicklung und Verbesserung der Harmonika, und bleiben trotzdem der Tradition der steirischen Harmonika verbunden“, sagt Müller. Am Tag der Auszeichnung feierte sie ihren 60. Geburtstag und wurde bei der großen Gala mit Glückwünschen überrascht. „Für die Region ist es wichtig, dass über solche Betriebe wie uns berichtet wird, auch weil wir über Jahrzehnte hinweg Arbeitsplätze schaffen und sichern“, sagt Müller. | El Festival Francisco el Hombre es un proyecto cultural con el cual se institucionaliza un reconocimiento anual a la música vallenata contemporánea, a través de quienes se destaquen como sus mejores intérpretes. El Festival promoverá y exaltará la calidad artística del vallenato actual expresado en sus distintas variantes, a saber: tradicional, nueva ola, romántico o moderno. OBJETIVOS DEL FESTIVAL •Promover la calidad artística de la música vallenata. •Premiar el esfuerzo de quienes se destaquen durante el año como sus mejores intérpretes. •Promover el surgimiento de nuevos talentos. •Promover el desarrollo cultural y turístico del Departamento de La Guajira. •Promocionar a Riohacha como ciudad que impulsa y apoya la música vallenata. •Contribuir a la generación de empleos e ingresos. Francisco el Hombre is a legendary figure, said to have originated the musical genre of Vallenato in Colombia. His story is very unclear and has been told by word of mouth from generation to generation. [edit] The Story His full name is Francisco Antonio Moscote. Francisco El Hombre is rumored to have gone around town to town in Colombia spreading news through the art of song. Not only did he sing the news, but he did it to the rhythm of an accordion that he always played whilst singing. This is how the genre of Vallenato in Colombia came to be. The exact era of his appearances is not known but it is rumored to have started around the late 1870s and early 1880s. Another Myth There is also a myth in Colombia where he was involved in a musical contest with Satan "El Diablo" and beat him with the rhythm of accordion and his voice. This is how he received the nickname "El Hombre" (The Man), which is how most Colombians know him - Francisco El Hombre.  Von 18. bis 20. März 2016 laden wir alle Interessierten zum 12. Schwäbischen Harmonika-Seminar nach Krumbach ein. Das Seminar wird 2016 zum ersten mal vom Verein zuf Förderung alpenländischer Volksmusik e.V. veranstaltet.Bekannte Musikanten und Lehrer aus der Volksmusik geben gerne Ihr Wissen weiter, folgende Ziele sollen im Einzelunterricht verwirklicht werden: •Kennenlernen des Instruments •Erlernen der Spieltechniken (Fingersatz ...) •Ausprobieren des freien Spiels (ohne Griffschrift-Notation) •freies Zusammenspiel (Begleiten ….) •... und natürlich: Spaß am Musizieren zu finden! Krumbach Eingeladen sind alle, die Interesse am Harmonikaspiel haben, ob fortgeschritten, ob Anfänger, ob mit oder ohne Instrument (Leihinstrumente können zur Verfügung gestellt werden). Ihr Konzept ist unspektakulär – ruhig, lyrisch, mehr oder minder verwurzelt in portugiesischen Musiktraditionen, der Fado wird nur sehr peripher gestreift. This band of troubadours has mastered the sound known as zydeco, a Louisiana-spawned genre powered by the piano accordion, with a fiddle and rub board percussion for extra oomph, as well as all the instruments needed for a rock and roll combo. Listen a moment or two, and you might catch yourself trying to do an old-country clog dance and Michael Jackson moonwalk at the same time. Zydeco is a hybrid sound, combining traditional music brought over from France with rhythms and grace notes lifted from blues, soul, reggae and other genres that originated with African Americans. “The roots of this music are French, Caribbean, African, and a little Spanish, too,” Leonard says. “We’’re a six-piece band — drums, bass guitar, rhythm guitar, rub board percussion, accordion, and fiddle. With a line up like that, you can’t help but move.” The insistent zydeco beat will be the sound track when northern Rhode Island celebrates Mardi Gras Saturday night at St. Ann Arts & Cultural Center in Woonsocket. For those who flunked French, Mardi Gras is French for Fat Tuesday (please pretend you don’t notice that Rhode Islanders have moved the party to the weekend.) It’s the last day before the austere Lenten season, during which observant Roman Catholics for 46 days swear off such indulgences as sweets, alcohol, and meat on Fridays. That makes it a date when people who share a French heritage let their hair down and party hard. And northern Rhode Island, home to so many folks who claim French Canadian ancestry, is no exception. In New Orleans, home to the USA’s biggest and best-known Mardi Gras celebration, the revelry is stretched out over several weeks, with feasts, parades, balls, and wild bacchanalian behavior in the streets. Partyers will enjoy mixed greens melange with dressing, artisan breads, French meat pies, chicken and sausage gumbo, old-fashioned creamy grits, red beans and rice, southern-style collard greens with ham, pecan pie with vanilla ice cream, and coffee. The French-speaking Cajuns of backwoods Louisiana are known to serve up everything from crayfish to alligator to raccoon to river rat at their Mardi Gras. You can be assured though, that the caterer at the Woonsocket party is not that concerned with authenticity, and will stick to meats commonly found at local butcher shops. Two bands will be playing. Local favorites Jeff Gamache and Runaway Train will get the crowd moving with country and country rock. Once folks are up and dancing, Leonard and Slippery Sneakers will take over to provide a real Louisiana sound. They’re considered New England’s number one exponents of zydeco. Slippery Sneakers has been playing at Woonsocket’s Mardi Gras for more than a decade, so many locals are now familiar with the troupe, who can be somewhat startling to those hearing them for the first time. The lean and lanky Leonard is the front man, squeezing a piano accordion painted to resemble the American flag. Rub board player Betsy Dawn Williams is in motion the entire show, dancing while she beats out a rhythm. Just what is this zydeco music? One of the orchestra's favorite artists, Detroit native and internationally renowned accordion virtuoso Peter Soave returns home to Michigan to perform an exciting new concerto by Slovenia-born, California-based composer Max Simoncic. (See article in this publication on composer Max Simoncic). Peter Soave has travelled the world amazing audiences with not only his technical ability but also his passionate interpretations. From his website: Of Italian descent, Peter Soave's earliest memories are of music played on an accordion. By age three, he was certain of his life's work. He began music studies at five, and quickly gravitated towards classical music. At sixteen, he entered international competitions and swept first place four times, confirming his reputation as a virtuoso of the highest order: Grand Prix in Neu Isenberg, West Germany; Klingenthal Wettbewerb in East Germany; Coupe Mondiale in Folkstone, England; and the Trophée Mondiale in Arrezano, Italy. In 1987, Peter Soave was the inaugural recipient of "Voce d'Oro," the international award honoring those who have given prominence to the accordion in the world of modern music.  Il nuovo spettacolo di Claudio Prima e Stefania Mariano per la regia di Marcelo Bulgarelli approda in Brasile“Arrivi e partenze” approda in Brasile. Lo spettacolo – che vede in scena l’organettista, compositore e cantante Claudio Prima e la danzatrice/attrice Stefania Mariano, coreografa della Fabbrica dei Gesti, diretti dal regista brasiliano Marcelo Bulgarelli – sarà in Sud America per una breve tournée, realizzata con il sostegno di Puglia Sounds Export 2016, sui palchi di due importanti festival. Dopo l’esordio di giovedì 18 febbraio a Campinas per il Feverestival di San Paolo, il viaggio dei due artisti salentini proseguirà dall’8 all’11 marzo con quattro repliche a Canoas, Novo Hamburgo, Bento Gonçalves e Caixas do Sul nell’ambito del SESC Musica nella regione del Rio Grande do Sul. Arrivi è partenze è un percorso fra le musiche tradizionali del mediterraneo, rivissute con lo spirito di un musicista moderno. L’organetto e la voce rievocano suoni ancestrali, figli di un tempo lontano, che hanno avuto la forza di propagarsi fino ad oggi. Ognuno di questi suoni ha un fascino antico frutto del suo valore autentico. Claudio Prima, leader di BandAdriatica e direttore della Giovane Orchestra del Salento, è un eclettico musicista che negli ultimi anni ha collaborato con artisti provenienti da tutto il mediterraneo (Goran Bregovic, Giovanni Sollima, Burhan Ocal, Boban e Marco Markovic, Kocani Orkestar, Eva Quartet, Rony Barrak, Savina Yannatou e tanti altri); Stefania Mariano è una danzatrice, attrice e coreografa interessata a sviluppare un percorso di ricerca multidisciplinare all’insegna della contaminazione tra diversi linguaggi artistici ed espressivi. La sua ricerca parte dalla danza tradizionale fino ad arrivare alle sue evoluzioni contemporanee; Marcelo Bulgarelli è attore e regista esperto di biomeccanica teatrale, già vincitore in Brasile di alcuni fra i più importanti riconoscimenti del settore (Premio Funarte 2007, Premio Açorianos 2010).
