 29 novembre 1943 Buenos Aires, Argentina died on 28 may 2022.Mosalini, who comes from a musical family, began learning the bandoneon as an autodidact at the age of eight. At thirteen he began playing in dance halls, and at the age of seventeen he became a professional musician. In 1961 he won first prize in the Canal 13 music competition Nace una estrella, and began his career in renowned Argentine tango orchestras, with Leopoldo Federico and Osvaldo Pugliese. He also worked with Susana Rinaldi and with Astor Piazzolla and founded the avant-garde ensemble Guardia Nueva with Daniel Binelli. In 1977, like many other artists and intellectuals, he left his home country because of the military dictatorship that had ruled since 1976 and went into exile in Paris. There he founded a trio with the pianist Gustavo Beytelmann and the bassist Patrice Caratini at the beginning of the 1980s, which modernised traditional tangos in a new arrangement with jazz elements as a variant of Tango Nuevo. In the following years, he devoted himself to the further development of bandoneon music as well as to the composition of film music and chamber music and orchestral works. As a soloist, he has played with numerous renowned symphony and chamber orchestras, such as the Ensemble Modern, with whom he appeared at the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival in 2002. He toured with Juraj Galan and Norbert Dömling in the Jazz Meets Tango project. He also founded the Gran Orquesta de Tango, a large formation with which he reworks the history of tango. He was also involved in productions by Irmin Schmidt and Jean-Pierre Mas. In 1986 he opened a bandoneon school. In the early 1990s he received a professorship for bandoneon at the National Conservatory of Gennevilliers, where he had already been giving courses since 1989. Mosalini plays the final scene of the Swiss feature film Der Verdingbub in 2011.  È Canzoni (per organetto preparato & elettronica) dell’organettista Alessandro D’Alessandro, pubblicato da Squilibri, l’album vincitore del Premio Nazionale Città di Loano per la Musica Tradizionale Italiana, il più prestigioso riconoscimento per la musica di tradizione in Italia, assegnato ogni anno alla migliore produzione musicale di ambito folk da una giuria composta da oltre cinquanta giornalisti specializzati e studiosi. Alessandro D’Alessandro, classe 1985, di Coreno Ausonio (Frosinone), già attivo con Orchestra Bottoni e vincitore di una Targa Tenco per il miglior album in dialetto (in coppia con Canio Loguercio) è uno dei più originali interpreti contemporanei dell’organetto diatonico, strumento tradizionale che più di ogni altro è stato al centro di sperimentazioni e innovazioni negli ultimi anni. Canzoni (per organetto preparato & elettronica) rappresenta un punto di arrivo di questo percorso: l’album cuce un originale “vestito” – con l’organetto opportunamente trattato con effetti elettronici – a un pugno di canzoni celebri, da Azzurro di Paolo Conte a I giardini di marzo di Lucio Battisti, a Can’t Help Falling in Love. Al secondo posto tra gli album più votati dalla giuria del Premio troviamo invece A Sud di Bella Ciao, progetto all-star di Riccardo Tesi con Elena Ledda, Lucilla Galeazzi, Alessio Lega, Nando Citarella, Maurizio Geri, Gigi Biolcati e Claudio Carboni. Il disco – presentato al Premio Loano dell’anno scorso – riprende alcuni classici del repertorio italiano del folk revival, in nuove letture originali. Al terzo posto si classifica invece Alessia Tondo con Sita, aggiudicandosi anche – da regolamento – il Premio Giovani. Il Premio Città di Loano per la Musica Tradizionale Italiana è nato diciotto anni fa come laboratorio permanente sulla musica folk, e promuove e valorizza la produzione contemporanea di musica tradizionale di radice italiana attraverso il coinvolgimento di artisti, etichette discografiche, giornalisti e operatori culturali. È organizzato dall'Associazione Compagnia dei Curiosi in collaborazione con l'Assessorato al Turismo e alla Cultura del Comune di Loano, e con il contributo della Fondazione A. De Mari e La Marina di Loano. La direzione artistica è a cura di Jacopo Tomatis, con la collaborazione di Ciro De Rosa, Enrico de Angelis e Annalisa Scarsellini. | 17 > 23 JUILLET: ACCORDÉON DIATONIQUE - Technique instrumentale, musicalité, interprétation 2 & 3 rangs : Tous niveaux sauf débutants Nous travaillerons les accords main droite sur différentes rythmiques et apprendrons à diversifier la main gauche (chant de basses). Nous travaillerons aussi l’indépendance des mains, l’utilisation de la soupape d’air, les effets de soufflets et les différents touchés pour apprendre à faire évoluer une mélodie en fonction de votre niveau et vous aider à trouver votre interprétation. Travail de l’écoute dans le jeu collectif à partir d’un arrangement que nous construirons ensemble à partir d’une mélodie. 2 groupes de niveaux seront constitués et alterneront avec Amélie et François à partir d’un répertoire de musique trad à danser ou de leurs compositions. Enseignement oral et avec partitions mélie Dénarié est comédienne de formation, la musique occupe une place primordiale dans sa vie. Ce n’est qu’après l’étude du piano qu’elle décide de s’approprier pleinement cet instrument. L’accordéon diatonique accompagne aujourd’hui beaucoup de ses créations théâtrales, tout comme le chant. François Heim est cvréateur de la Compagnie BALAGAN ! Il est accordéoniste diatonique et compositeur dont le répertoire est empreint de musiques des pays de l’est et des Balkans. | The 33rd Haapavesi Folk Music Festival will take place June 30 – July 2, 2022 is a 3-day music event that was founded in 1989. The programme of the festival consists of high quality Finnish and international folk music and world music, alongside with some classical, jazz, pop and cross-genre acts. Programme includes also seminars and the festival week starts with acclaimed Folk Courses which are taught by several top folk musicians. Majority of the performers at the festival come from the Finnish folk music scene but international acts are also an essential part of the programme. The festival offers music from different cultures all over the world, especially Scandinavian, Celtic and North American music has been vastly represented.  10 > 16 JUILLET: ACCORDÉON DIATONIQUEVALÉRIE AUBART Accordéon diatonique 2/3 rangs, niveaux débutants Ce stage s’adresse aux débutant·e·s et à ceux et celles qui veulent approfondir et consolider leurs bases instrumentales : tenue et compréhension de l’instrument, gammes et accords de base, accompagnement et rythmiques, colonne d’air, technique de la soupape, apprentissage du clavier, coordination des deux mains, jeu d’ensemble. Nous aborderons ce travail technique à partir d’un répertoire varié de musique du monde. Pas besoin de connaissances musicales préalables, nous travaillerons à l’oreille mais les partitions et tablatures seront mises à disposition. Nous aborderons aussi un répertoire type fanfare qui permettra à chacun et chacune de travailler le jeu collectif et partager le plaisir de jouer ensemble ! The day will be led by Paul Barrett, who will provide all the musical arrangements. Organisers welcome players of English, Anglo and Duet concertina systems. The music will be arranged in parts to accomodate players of Treble, Baritone and Bass concertinas. Players are welcome to bring more than one concertina to the event. Whilst players of all skill levels are welcome, some music reading will be essential. Most music will be arranged in the keys of C, G and D, but F and Bb may also be used for some pieces. L’organetto è uno degli strumenti che più spesso accompagnano i ballerini nelle loro danze. Ma da dove si comincia per arrivare a trascinare decine di persone da un ballo all’altro? Questo è lo stage giusto per chiunque voglia approcciarsi allo strumento senza alcuna conoscenza preliminare! Simone Pistis intraprende gli studi musicali presso la Scuola civica di musica di Lanusei, in Sardegna, iscrivendosi nella classe di chitarra e contemporaneamente dedicandosi allo studio dell’organetto diatonico come autodidatta. Nel 2001 entra nella classe di chitarra presso l’istituto musicale pareggiato “Orazio Vecchi” di Modena e si diploma nel marzo 2009. Componente poli-strumentista di vari gruppi di world music (Lame a foglia d’oltremare, Shardafrica e Yule de Sonos), dal 2011 collabora come organettista con LOBAS per la promozione e la diffusione delle danze sarde attraverso stages e serate danzanti. | The 2022 2nd International Competition “Heinrich Band” and the VIII International Bandoneon Masterclass will be held online and live in person from August 24th to 27th, 2022 in Iglesias, Italy. The event is organised by the Anton Stadler Cultural Association and the Accademia Italiana del Bandoneón, with the contribution of the RAS Autonomous Region of Sardinia - Department of Education, Cultural Heritage, Information, Entertainment and Sport, the Municipality of Iglesias - Department of Culture, Sport and Entertainment, the Foundation of Sardinia, the MIC Ministry of Culture and in collaboration with the AR'TANGO-Bandoneon Project Association of Avignon. Applications have opened for the preliminary round of the “Heinrich Band” competition for instrumental performance on bandoneon, with entrants now able to send in their videos. Applications close on June 24th, 2022. The jury consists of Per Arne Glorvigen (Norway), Piero di Egidio (Italy), Yvonne Hahn (Germany), Santiago Cimadevilla (Argentina) and Fabio Furia (Italy). | In Sea you Tomorrow la Bandadriatica propone sei brani eseguiti live nelle campagne salentine - cinque già pubblicati (“L’abbraccio di Cariddi”, “Migrante”, “Terra”, “La capu” e “Focu”) e l'altro inedito “Acquafrisca” - e come detto si conclude con il videoclip di Capisutta. «Questi due brani, che entreranno a far parte del nuovo album, parlano del futuro in modi molto diversi. Acquafrisca è una riflessione su ciò che vorremmo lasciare ai nostri figli o a chi verrà dopo di noi. | L'incontro fra l'organetto di Claudio Prima, musicista, cantante e compositore salentino e il quartetto d'archi formato da Vera Longo (violino e voce), Paola Barone (violino), Cristian Musìo (viola) e Marco Schiavone (violoncello), già protagonisti di numerose collaborazioni (Giovane Orchestra del Salento, La Municipal, Orchestra della Magna Grecia) porta alla ricerca di una scrittura che esprime il contatto tra due stili, apparentemente lontani fra loro, ma legati da un'appartenenza geografica che negli anni ha prodotto numerose forme di reciproca influenza. Il rigore della musica classica incontra, infatti, l'istinto e la spontaneità della musica popolare, che rivive di una ritualità moderna, traslando la sua eterna ricerca di un richiamo ancestrale in una scrittura attuale. Il Mediterraneo si fonde con il mondo classico, giocando con le provenienze e favorendo la contaminazione di due mondi musicali che da sempre hanno segretamente dialogato, come si può evincere dalle composizioni di Béla Bartók e Igor Stravinskj, fra gli altri, profondamente intrise di echi tradizionali. Il repertorio scandaglia i fondali del Mediterraneo con una scrittura originale che condensa più di vent’anni di ricerca sulle musiche cosiddette “di confine” e sulle inaspettate connessioni fra le tradizioni del mare di mezzo e il mondo classico. The album contains his own interpretation of 12 famous jazz standard tunes and it is dedicated to the one and only Néstor Marconi, his beloved teacher, wonderful musician and superb bandoneon player, who will celebrate his 80th birthday just on that date. The release will be celebrated Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at 20:00 with a short solo bandoneon concert at the wonderful Bartof Station, Solbjergvej 3, 2000 Frederiksberg.
