| In die erste Voting-Runde schafft es Johannes Spanner aus Bad Waltersdorf in der Steiermark und singt in der ersten Qualifikationsshow den Matthias Reim-Hit "Verdammt ich lieb dich" und spielt dazu auf seiner Quetsch'n. Ab sofort kann er (neben den anderen 2 jungen Künstlern Fräulein Laut aus der Steiermark, J-Kobe aus Wien) fünf Tage lang per Telefon oder SMS von den Zusehern in die nächste Runde gevotet werden. In das Ergebnis fließen aber auch die Downloadzahlen der drei Songs ein, die auf iTunes heruntergeladen werden können. In jeder Sendung (immer Freitags, 20.15 auf Puls 4) werden von den Juroren drei Favoriten bestimmt. Die Voting-Phase startet direkt nach der jeweiligen Sendung und dauert bis Mittwoch, 20.15 Uhr. Die Gewinner werden dann am Donnerstag in Café Puls bekannt gegeben. Der Wochensieger wird am 28. Februar im Live-Finale auf Puls 4 vertreten sein. |

 Anche ad Auschwitz, Terezìn e Mauthausen si suonava, si cantava e si componeva musica. Di fronte alla sola prospettiva della morte i musicisti ebrei non rinunciavano alla loro passione, arrivando ad allestire orchestre, come ad Auschwitz, scrivendo note nelle condizioni più disperate, componendo ninna nanne da cantare ai bimbi ormai sulla porta della camera a gas, come la straordinaria Wiegala scritta da Ilse Weber morta, insieme al figlio Tommy, nell' ottobre ‘ 44 ad Auschwitz. Nei lager nazisti la musica ebbe un ruolo di esaltazione dell'orrore e annientamento della dignità umana. Era continuamente suonata scandendo i ritmi dei prigionieri durante le marce verso i campi di lavoro, nelle adunate come durante le esecuzioni e per l'intrattenimento degli ufficiali. Eppure, per i detenuti fare musica significava ritrovare la dignità violata e, in molti casi, sopravvivere. Ed è soprattutto grazie alla memoria dei sopravvissuti e dei testimoni che ci sono giunte molte di queste musiche, di queste storie. Coerente con il proprio percorso musicale e di impegno civile, Barabàn ha allestito un nuovo spettacolo di musiche, canzoni e immagini dedicato alla shoàh. Il concerto si snoda attraverso un’emozionante sequenza di canti come Wiegala, Asma Asmaton (tratto dalla celebre Trilogia di Mauthausen scritta dal poeta e drammaturgo greco Iakovos Kambanellis e musicata da Mikis Theodorakis), brani del moderno repertorio basato sull’antica tradizione ebraica, musiche per i matrimoni e danze della tradizione yiddish, canzoni contro la guerra (da La guerra di Piero di De André ad Auschwitz di Guccini), e contro l’indifferenza e l’apatia (Yellow triangle, di Christy Moore). Le musiche sono accompagnata da video con la testimonianza di ex deportati, spezzoni di film, immagini della discriminazione degli ebrei, dei lager nazisti. Prima vennero a prendere gli zingari e fui contento perchè rubacchiavano. Poi vennero a prendere gli ebrei e stetti zitto perchè mi stavano antipatici. Poi vennero a prendere gli omosessuali e fui sollevato perché mi erano fastidiosi. Poi vennero a prendere i comunisti ed io non dissi niente perchè non ero comunista. Un giorno vennero a prendere me e non c'era rimasto nessuno a protestare.  Ein spannendes Gewinnspiel fand vom 01.01.2014 bis 15.01.2014 auf der Muller FB-Seite statt. Zu gewinnen gab es 2 oeticket Gutscheine im Wert von insgesammt € 60,-.Im Dezember machten sich die angemeldeten Harmonikaspieler auf den Weg ins Müller-Aufnahmestudio um dort eine Aufnahme zu machen und am Gewinnspiel teilzunehmen. Die fertigen Videos wurden den Teilnehmern auf einem 4GB Müller USB-Stick zum Mitnehmen zur Verfügung gestellt. Am Neujahrstag wurden alle Videos auf die Müller-FBseite gepostet. Jeder konnte bis einschließlich 15. Jänner 12:00 Uhr für seinen/seine Favoriten mit einem "gefällt mir" voten. | Del 06/01/2014 al 19/01/2014 Festival de la música autóctona, con la presentación de unos quince números musicales por noche, cuadros argumentales y danzas folklóricas, a los que se suman los ganadores de la final del pre-festival. Este año la organización del Instituto de Cultura propone el tema “Universo Chamamé” invitando a reflexionar sobre la riqueza y la multiplicidad de actores y componentes de la “cultura chamamecera”. Este concepto estará presente en la estética de la fiesta, en la programación artística, en los foros y conferencias, en las muestras y en otras actividades que además buscarán enriquecer el espíritu central de esta fiesta identitaria: la celebración.  BordunMusikTage für Bordun- und andere Instrumente Mit Kinderbetreuung 1. bis 5. Januar 2014 Wie könnte man das Jahr schöner beginnen als mit der Fürstenecker Bordunale?! Neben den Instrumental- und Ensemble-Workshops lassen spontane Konzerte und Sessions, gemeinsames Tanzen und Singen, Klönen am offenen Kamin, ein Basar mit allem, was rund um die Musik den Besitzer wechseln soll usw., über das Workshop-Programm hinaus spannende Tage (und Nächte) erwarten. Und Kinder ab 6 Jahren werden parallel in dem kreativen Kinder-Workshop gefördert. Diatonisches Akkordeon „auf Schwedisch" Stilistische Bereicherungen für Fortgeschrittene Sigmar Gothe Anhand charakteristischer Stücke wird ein Einblick in die Rhythmik und den Stil traditioneller Tanzmusik aus Schweden und Norwegen gegeben. Die einzelnen Melodien werden wir mit unterschiedlicher Intensität bearbeiten, so dass einerseits ein vertieftes Verständnis und andererseits ein vielfältiger Überblick möglich werden. Skandinavische Melodien mit ihren langen Spannungsbögen und Tonbindungen, die aus der Geigenmusik abgeleitet sind, benötigen eine spezielle Phrasierung und Dynamik, die sich von verbreiteten Spielweisen des diatonischen Akkordeons unterscheidet. In diesem einzigartigen Kurs wird deshalb ein besonderes Augenmerk auf die typische Balgführung und Tongestaltung gelegt. Diese zu erlernen, ist in jedem Fall eine Bereicherung der persönlichen Ausdrucksmöglichkeiten, hilfreich für die Stilfindung und auch in anderen Repertoires sinnvoll einzusetzen. Sicheres Melodiespiel, eine gute Koordination von rechter und linker Hand sowie die Bereitschaft nach Gehör zu spielen werden vorausgesetzt. Wenn möglich, ein einfaches Aufnahmegerät mitbringen. Benötigt wird ein diatonisches Akkordeon in G/C ohne Gleichtöner und möglichst ohne Terz im Akkord. Letztere kann aber auch noch vor Ort und vorübergehend abgeklebt werden. | In January 2014 the small town of Cygnet, will host the 32nd Cygnet Folk Festival, one Australia’s most iconic folk music festivals. Very highly regarded by musicians and festival-goers from all over Australia and overseas, competition to come to Cygnet is at an all time high amongst performers, and this year we had a record number of applications! Now we have selected a board range of genres and styles which we believe fit under the board umbrella of folk and we are excited to bring this unforgettable program to Cygnet 2014. Many of our musicians and volunteers plan their annual holidays around coming to Cygnet in January each year and many come from interstate and overseas especially to be part of this wonderful event. The incredible talent of local and visiting musicians is celebrated over the January weekend and we are proud that so many amazing performers and festival goers take part in what the festival has to offer each and every year. The Cygnet Folk Festival began in 1982 and is a not-for-profit community event organised by a volunteer management committee, a paid administrator / coordinator and many dedicated people volunteering their time and expertise. Cygnet has a population of less than 1,000 people and for such a small community, the Festival is impressive in its size, scope and quality. A rich cultural community event, the festival provides entertainment for the Cygnet, Hobart, Tasmanian and interstate live music community, making people smile, providing opportunities and a springboard for young musicians, business opportunities for local businesses, and new friendships. The Festival runs over 3 days in early January and attracts around 4,000 to 5,000 visitors. The aims of the Festival are: •to offer folk, ethno, world, singer-songwriter, roots and acoustic music, dance, poetry and workshops from local, national and international artists. •to encourage interest in and awareness of folk music and associated activities to people of diverse ages and backgrounds. •to provide support and opportunities to young musicians. •to foster mutually beneficial relationships with the local community, businesses and associations. The festival will take place in various locations in downtown Montpelier including: Bethany Church, Threepenny Taproom, NECI, Skinny Pancake, Summit School. This festival is supported in part by the Montpelier Downtown Improvement District Winter is cold in Vermont! The Summit School of Traditional Music and Culture will heat things up by hosting ‘Spice on Snow’ Winter Music Festival January 9-12th, 2014.  Vom 3. bis 4. Oktober 2014 findet in der Steririschen Marktgemeinde Neumarkt erstmalig dieser Wettbewerb statt. Anmeldeschluss ist der 31. August 2014Der Name Alpe Adria Harmonikabewerb wurde gewählt, da hauptsächlich KandidatenInnen aus den Ländern Österreich, Slowenien, Kroatien, Italien und Südtirol bei diesem wohl einmaligen Event vertreten sind. Von der hochkarätigen Jury Gottfried Hubmann, BA (Juryvorsitz, A), Joze Burnik (SLO), Loui Herinx (NL), Primoz Zvir (SLO), Eduard Huber (Südtirol), Prof. Zoran Lupinc (I) und Michael Pirolt ( A ) wird bei der Preisverleihung ein Jurybrief ausgehändigt. Jede(r) KandidatIn erhält eine Medaille. Für die ersten drei Preise je Alterskategorie gibt es wertvolle Pokale, wobei der erste Preis dem Namen einer verdienstvollen Person in der Harmonika-Szene gewidmet ist. Am 3.Oktober werden die Gäste von den Kulmer Schuh-plattlern und einem Konzert eines Harmonikaorchesters unter der Leitung von Herrn Primoz Zvir aus Slowenien unterhalten. Von 18 Uhr bis 22 Uhr gibt es Tanz und Unterhaltung mit der grandiosen Gruppe „ Oberkrainer Skorpioni“. Samstag, der 4. Oktober steht dann ganz im Zeichen des „Alpe Adria Harmonikabewerbes“, bei dem die TeilnehmerInnen ihr Können unter Beweis stellen und den Besuchern wohl Einmaliges an Musikalität und Virtuosität bieten werden. Im Anschluss findet die Preisverleihung statt. An beiden Tagen gibt es eine großartige Harmonika- und Teufelsgeigen-Aausstellung.  Mairtin O’Connor (diatonic button accordion), Cathal Hayden (fiddle, banjo) and Seamus O’Dowd (guitar, vocals) perform at The Met, Bury, Lancashire, on Thursday January 16th, 8pm. Máirtín O’Connor, from Galway, is one of Ireland’s leading button accordionists. He was a member of De Danaan in the 1980s, and has also played with Midnight Well, De Dannan, The Boys of the Lough, and Skylark. His first solo album ‘A Connachtman's Rambles’ (1979) established O’Connor as a top flight solo traditional musician and proved a major critical success, and his further solo recordings ‘Perpetual Motion’ (1990), ‘Chatterbox’ (1993) and ‘The Road West’ (2001) revealed O’Connor to be a composer with great imagination and diversity. He has worked as a session musician with Rod Stewart, Elvis Costello, Mark Knofler, The Chieftains, The Dubliners, Davy Spillane, Maire Brennan, and the Waterboys.
