The initiative involves the Municipal Administration and the Pro Loco of Montescaglioso, the National Union of Local Italy, the Basilicata Region, the APT (Tourist Promotion Agency) of Basilicata, the AMISAD (Italian Association of Musical Instruments reed Diatonic). The World Diatonic Accordion Championships aims to promote the use and status of the diatonic accordion (organetto).  The Accordions Around the World Festival in Bryant Park, New York runs each Wednesday, from July 1st to August 26th, at 6 to 8 pm.Each week, 10 accordionists perform throughout the park, playing music from many countries and genre. Bryant Park invite you to "Take a cross-cultural musical journey - from France to Colombia, from the Balkans to Louisiana, from Cumbia to Jazz, and more - with accordions, harmoniums, concertinas, and bandoneons." Und dass der Blues lebt, das beweist Dale King mit seiner Musik Die Mundharmonika ist ein relativ preiswertes Instrument, in der Hosentasche zu transportieren und leicht zu erlernen. Published on Jun 20, 2015vendredi 14 août 2015 - Palais des Congrès Sharon Shannon est l’une des musiciennes les plus douées d’Irlande, la plus douée en ce qui concerne son instrument de prédilection : l’accordéon diatonique. Sharon Shannon est issue d’une famille de musiciens du sud de l'Irlande, le comté de Clare, comté réputé pour la qualité de sa musique traditionnelle. Elle apprend l’accordéon dès l’âge de 11 ans. Sa soeur Mary se consacre au banjo et au bouzouki. Cofondatrice du groupe Arcady, elle débute rapidement une carrière solo, sort son 1er album en 1989, avec la collaboration de pointures de la musique irlandaise, comme Donal Lunny, Philip King, Mary Custy, Adam Clayton, Steve Wickham, Mike Scott de U2. En 1990 elle fait partie des Waterboys, avec lesquelles elle sort un album. Elle remporte son premier grand succès en 1991 avec l'album « Sharon Shannon ». Mais c’est en participant en 1992 à l’album « Woman’s Heart », un des plus grand succès de tous les temps en Irlande, que Sharon Shannon accèdera au rang de star en Irlande.   August 7-9, 2015The Goderich Celtic Roots Festival is an annual celebration of the music, craft, and culture of the Celtic nations, immigrants of which form a strong historic background to Huron County. From a single memorial concert held in 1993, the Celtic Roots Festival has grown to include a week-long school of music, dance and craft art for children and adults, a series of rural outreach mini-concerts, and a three-day traditional outdoor festival held in beautiful Lions' Harbour Park on the shores of Lake Huron. | Le Festival Interceltique de Lorient est une association loi 1901 dont les buts sont : - d'organiser annuellement le Festival Interceltique de Lorient et d'assurer une permanence culturelle à l'année - de contribuer à la promotion de la culture bretonne et celtique, et ainsi de promouvoir, tant au plan national qu'international, l'image du pays de Lorient, du Morbihan, de la Bretagne et des pays celtiques, - de participer au développement des échanges avec les pays celtes et tous les pays et régions intéressés par ces cultures. L'association est dotée d'un conseil d'administration composé de 23 membres maximum, élus par les bénévoles lors de l'Assemblée Générale ou cooptés pour leurs compétences reconnues. Un président entouré d'un bureau sont élus par le CA pour mettre en application les décisions prises. Le FIL, outre cette structure de bénévoles élus, possède une structure professionnelle permanente. | 13-14 AGOSTO: STAGE DI BANDITALIANA Riprendendo la tradizione iniziale di “Sentieri Acustici”, torna Banditaliana al completo ad animare due giorni di stage musicali sulla montagna pistoiese. Nei locali del Palazzo Achilli di Gavinana nei giorni 13 e 14 agosto avranno luogo gli stage, dalle 11 alle 13 i corsi di strumento e dalle 15 alle 18 quelli di Musica d’insieme, il costo è di €50,00 ad allievo, detta quota comprende sia il corso di strumento che la Musica d’Insieme, gli allievi sono anche invitati ad esibirsi il 15 agosto a San Salvi (Firenze) in apertura del tradizionale concerto di Ferragosto che Banditaliana tiene da ormai quindici anni.   The 2015 All Ireland Fleadh Cheoil, organized by Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann (CCE), takes place in the town of Sligo in west of the Irish Republic, from August 9th to 16th. The Fleadh Cheoil is a huge competitive festival of Irish music, song and dance, with approximately 10,000 competitors and performers, including sections involving large numbers of accordionists, melodeon, concertina and harmonica players, as well as many ceili bands, accordion and marching bands. The first half of the festival is taken up by Scoil Éigse: tuition classes (for all ages and abilities in traditional Irish music) for piano accordion, diatonic button accordion, Anglo concertina, and many other instruments used in Irish traditional music. This is a festival with accordion in so many bands, playing in so many places at the festival. Accordionists love the festival which is the largest single festival of Irish Music and up to 400,000 visitors attend during the nine day event.  Voor ‘begonners’ 23. Augustus 2015 - VELDHOVEN Van 9.30 u tot 12.30 u: Spelen met akkoorden door Helma Mollenkamp. Deze workshop is bedoeld voor ‘begonners’, stemming instrument CF. Trekharmonica spelen: links de bassen en de akkoorden, rechts de melodie. Toch? Maar wat als je muzikale partner nou die melodie al speelt? Ik heb daar vaak mee te maken. Sinds enkele jaren speel ik met Ben Dirks in het Genegenheidsduo en ben dus tamelijk ervaren geraakt in het begeleiden van anderen (en mijzelf!) met op akkoorden gebaseerde partijen. Hieronder kun je enkele voorbeelden beluisteren en bekijken en ziet hoe je een eenvoudig variatie kunt aanbrengen als je “alleen maar” de akkoorden speelt. Ook wanneer die ander eigenlijk ook al de akkoorden speelt, bijvoorbeeld op gitaar. In de workshop gaan we in ieder geval een eenvoudige traditional en een popliedje op een speelse manier begeleiden met akkoorden. Je hoeft geen ervaringen te hebben met akkoorden spelen, het is wel prettig als je een eenvoudige melodie kunt spelen. Dit alles op de CF. Je krijgt ook wat basis informatie over akkoorden en akkoordgrepen mee op papier en natuurlijk de nodige praktische tips.  Art StoylesThe 39th annual Newfoundland and Labrador Folk Festival will have something for just about every musical taste this summer, including a special tribute to a much-loved local accordion player who died in April."Art Stoyles, who passed away this year, was a big accordion player in Newfoundland and Labrador," said Folk Arts Society President John Drover on Wednesday. "There's going to be an Art Stoyles tribute on the TD Main Stage ... so all the big accordion players are going to be doing a tribute to Art Stoyles." Art Stoyles learned to play the accordion at the age of eight, and continued to perform for almost six decades prior to his death on April 6th. He was an accomplished solo artist, but also played with Figgy Duff, The Westerneers, The Bannerman Park Band and his own Art Stoyles Band. Other main stage acts announced for this year's folk festival include Hey Rosetta!, Bruce Cockburn and The Fables. The festival takes place from August 7th to 9th at Bannerman Park in St. John's, Newfoundland. |

Deux disques plus tard le duo éprouve toujours le même plaisir, celui de pouvoir réunir sur le parquet des amateurs de gavotte, plinn, mazurka, hanter dro et autres laridés. Le reste est sans doute parti de là. Fred ferait de la musique. Mais pour la scène. Aujourd’hui l’aventure se partage entre divers projets et des invitations. Les albums solo de Fred « La lune Noire « 1998 et Jean-Charles de même que les albums élaborés en commun, « Mémoire-vive » en 2002 et « Frères » en 2005, « Dreams of Brittany » en 2007 ( Grand Prix du disque du télégramme 2008, Grand prix du disque Produit en Bretagne 2008 ) sont devenus des albums de référence dans l’histoire de la musique bretonne. Pour ce 1er album sorti à l’automne 2013, le répertoire marie le Fest-Noz et l’Irlande. Le duo violon accordéon, entre finesse et énergie, est soutenu par un piano inspiré du swing breton, des harmonies jazz et des Ceili Band irlandais. Musiciens : Yuna Léon : Violon Originaire de Quimper, Yuna baigne dans la musique traditionnelle depuis son enfance. Elle a le bonheur de partager la scène bretonne avec son père, Alain Léon (Koun, Oktopus Kafe).  24. Augustus 2015 - Voor middenniveau en gevorderden Musette met Mark Van 9.30 u tot 12.30 u: Musette met Mark door Mark Söhngen. Dit is een workshop voor middenniveau en gevorderden, stemming instrument CF. De musettemuziek is ontstaan toen mensen uit de Auvergne naar Parijs trokken en daar in hun eigen café's hun eigen muziek bleven dansen en spelen, eerst op draailier en doedelzak (musette is de naam van een klein type doedelzak). Later introduceerden italiaanse muzikanten de trekharmonika, mode-dansen als wals en polka deden hun intrede (2e helft 19e eeuw), later gevolgd door invloeden vanuit tango en zigeunerjazz. Genoeg ingrediënten dus voor een leuke workshop.  mercredi 12 août 2015 - Quai de la Bretagne Ce nouveau duo composé de Hyacinthe Le Hénaff à l’accordéon diatonique et Tristan Gloaguen au saxophone vont vous interpréter un répertoire à danser original avec quelques compositions, de beaux arrangements, de nombreuses danses Kof a Kof, entre autres du répertoire Montagne, et une magnifique suite Glazik….Ces deux personnalités sont déjà bien connues dans le milieu car Tristan Gloaguen a dansé et codirigé le cercle de Spézet pendant de nombreuses années … Il a sonné au Bagad An Arvorig, joué avec le trio Tan, en couple biniou bombarde avec Gael Fur, et en duo clarinette ave Etienne Cabaret, dans academy… Il est actuellement le directeur de la confédération War leur . Hyacinthe Le Hénaff est un accordéoniste très actif dans le sud finistère, il joue au cercle de Kerfeunteun, dans le groupe HIPY, en duo avec Malo Kervern … Mais aussi en musique actuelle avec FDB (reggae), 4 pistes(chansons engagées), et en solo Hyacinthe Mac Hénaff (reggae Groove). Il est professeur d’accordéon dans 4 écoles du sud Finistère.Ces deux musiciens talentueux titulaires de leurs DEM, sont aussi des chercheurs et collecteurs actifs, notamment en sud Cornouaille.  Franz Posch ist eine Institution. Seit 1979 gestaltet er regelmäßig Volksmusiksendungen für Radio Tirol, seit 1988 die ORF-Livesendung „Mei liabste Weis“. Zusammen mit der „Innbrüggler Tanzlmusi“ aus Hall in Tirol ist der vielseitige Musiker im gesamten Alpenraum bekannt; Engagements führten die Gruppe auch nach Italien, Holland oder Dubai. Posch und seine Innbrüggler präsentieren Volksweisen und Blasmusikmärsche, böhmisch-mährische Stücke, Inntaler Musik und natürlich „Selbergstricktes“. Die Gruppe steht für herrlich lebendige und frische Tanzlmusi auf höchstem musikalischen Niveau. Improvisation bekommt viel Raum: Mit Ausnahme der beiden melodieführenden Instrumente musizieren die anderen relativ frei und spontan.  vendredi 14 août 2015 - Palais des CongrèsDirecteur de la « Banda de Gaitas El Trasno de Cuaña », cet asturien s'initie à 10 ans à la musique traditionnelle (accordéon, gaïta et percussions) et sera en 1994 vainqueur du Trophée Macallan de gaïta soliste. Avec son inséparable frère José il crée, il y a 20ans, le groupe folk « Tejedor » qui a publié à ce jour quatre disques, ce qui leur vaut de participer aux plus prestigieux festivals européens ( FIL, W. Kennedy Piping Festival, Festival Celtic Connections etc.) et à des tournées passant par les États-Unis, le Koweït, le Venezuela, et une bonne partie de l'Europe. Ils ont également enregistré pour le cinéma en 2007 la bande sonore du film « La Torre de Suso ».   primo lavoro discografico della Giovane Orchestra del Salento dal titolo Essera terra. Il cd contiene 14 brani inediti nei testi e nelle musiche, realizzati negli ultimi 4 anni da questo originale gruppo di circa 50 giovani musicisti salentini guidati da Claudio Prima ed Emanuele Coluccia. La musica della Giovane Orchestra è energica e originale, mescola in maniera ardita generi musicali diversi (reggae, rock, classica, popolare) e rappresenta il talento generato in questi anni dal fermento musicale che il Salento ha vissuto. Più di 120 ragazzi coinvolti negli ultimi anni, la realizzazione di un documentario, numerosi concerti in Salento e in festival nazionali (Milano, Civitanova Marche) e finalmente la produzione di un cd dimostrano il valore della musica scritta e pensata insieme ai ragazzi. Il concerto della Giovane Orchestra del Salento muove, coinvolge, emoziona ed è un'iniezione di energia pura, divertente e fresca come la forza dei giovani che ne sono protagonisti.Brani come Essere terra che da il titolo al disco o come A testa in giù, Semplice, In cammino raccontano nei testi e nelle musiche un nuovo modo di fare musica insieme, libero da ogni schema preesistente. La musica suonata dai ragazzi è il frutto di un processo orientato e inclusivo, dedito all'integrazione e all'arte dell'incontro. Il cd è impreziosito dalla presenza di Serena Abrami (X Factor, Sanremo). La cantautrice marchigiana, già interprete di Niccolò Fabi e Ivano Fossati, presta la sua voce per un brano originale dai titolo Chiedimi ancora. La Giovane Orchestra del Salento è la dimostrazione che la musica si trasforma e cresce insieme a chi la fa. Ad aprire il concerto il trio dei Bija (Francesco Pellizzari, Marco Puzzello e Gabriele Di Franco) avvicendatisi anche loro all'interno della Giovane Orchestra. | Irish and Breton Traditionnal Music – Fest Noz Le groupe Zonk s’est crée en 2009 à l’occasion de la fête de l’accordéon à Cavan (22), autour de musiciens reconnus de la scène traditionnelle bretonne rennaise , Yuna Léon, Kenan Guernalec et Jaouen Le Goic L’improbable rencontre entre Thelonious Monk et les sœurs Goadec dans un pub en Irlande.Pour ce 1er album, le répertoire marie avec élégance le Fest-Noz et l’Irlande. Le duo violon accordéon, entre finesse et énergie, est soutenu par un piano inspiré du swing breton, des harmonies jazz et des Ceili Band irlandais.
